Pray for the Women’s Event Tomorrow
Praise God we currently have over 370 women signed up for the Women’s Event tomorrow morning. Please be in prayer for Holly as she teaches about “New Creations” in 2 Corinthians 4 and 5 and for all the women attending.
Pray for Pastors Ben & Charlie in Uganda
Pastors Ben and Charlie will be leaving for Uganda Thursday, February 5th. Please intentionally be in prayer for them to have safe travels, for Pastor Ben as he teaches the men at the Shepherd’s Training Center from Genesis 11-50, and as he preaches at their new church building on Sunday, February 8th.
Encourage Involvement in the Outreach and Missions Exhibition
Next Sunday, February 8, our Sunday service will be on the theme of outreach and missions. Along with that, we'll have an exhibition in the Heritage Room with 14 tables of opportunities for our people to get involved in outreach and/or missions in 2026. We'd love to see a big kingdom impact this year! At Life Groups next week, please encourage your group members to go and to sign up for at least one thing. The exhibition will take place before first service and in the gaps between services.
Sunday’s Sermon:
Unashamed of the Gospel: A Mission Unlike Any Other
Romans 1:5-7
Read Romans 1:1-7. Think about the idea of being on the same team and having the
same mission as the Apostle Paul. How does that excite you to serve the cause of the
gospel?Read 1 Peter 4:10. Why are we sometimes tempted to think of serving the cause of the
gospel as a burden and not a gracious gift? Why is it so important to keep the right
perspective here? What are some of the biggest misconceptions you see in our culture regarding what the
gospel is and how to respond to it? As you think through your gospel interactions, how
can you work to be clear regarding these things?Read Colossians 3:12-13. Through the church you are part of a community of “God’s
chosen ones, holy and beloved.” How should that affect your attitude towards others in
your church?Read 1 Peter 1:17-21. How should the reality that you have been ransomed and set
apart by the blood of Christ affect the way you think about your lifestyle and actions this
week?
