Men’s Deacon Meeting Tomorrow - With the retreat rapidly approaching, we are getting together tomorrow, Saturday, 10/22, from 6pm-7:30pm to discuss the retreat at the church offices: 12592 W Explorer Dr Suite 100 Boise, ID 83713. Dinner will be provided. The Book of Ruth
Read Ruth 1:1-5. How do you tend to respond in the midst of difficult circumstances? What do your response(s) reveal about your faith?
How can you practically "rest" in the character of God in the midst of painful and difficult circumstances?
Read 2 Timothy 2:20-21. What do Boaz and Ruth teach us about the type of people God uses to accomplish his purposes?
Read Ruth 3:1-6. How does faith embolden obedience? Why is it often difficult to obey when we can't immediately see the outcome/result?
Read Ephesians 1:3-14. Boaz (his generosity, kindness, intentionality, and redemption of Ruth) is a picture of what God provides for us in Christ. How have you seen God's generosity, kindness, intentionality, and redemption in your own life?
What can often keep us from seeing the "bigger picture" of what God is doing in our lives? How can we reframe those distractions to better rest in God even in the midst of circumstances that may be difficult?
