Our final Men’s Breakfast of 2023 will be Saturday, 11/11, at 8am at Living Hope Bible Church (14301 W McMillan Rd, Boise, ID 83713). With many Life Groups not having met this week with no Adventure Club, please reach out to the men in your Life Group and encourage them to register early so that we have numbers in time to adjust our food order. Read 1 Timothy 6:17-19. How might you be tempted to set your hope on riches or other worldly advancements or comforts? What will it look like for you to hope in God instead of these things this week
Read Matthew 5:5. Why is meekness so often contrary to what is natural to our flesh or common in our culture? Even though it may be counterintuitive, how have you seen the truth of Jesus’ words in your own life
Read Romans 12:14-21. What are some current or recent difficult situations in your own life where you need to apply these words? What can you practically do to overcome evil with good in these situations?
Read 1 Kings 18:36-37. How can you make more of your prayers focused on the name of the Lord by seeking his glory and thinking of his character and his attributes?
