Kids Ministry Still Needs Help - Life Group Leaders, will you make a specific announcement to your Life Group stating that we still need help in Kids Ministry for all services but mainly for the Saturday Night service starting on January 8th. Getting the Most Out of Expository Preaching
1 Thessalonians 2:13
Evaluate your weekly preparation for hearing expository preaching. How could prayer help you better prepare? Is there anything in your “pre-church routine” that would help you be more prepared to hear God’s Word well?
Read Ephesians 3:20-21. Why is it so easy to get to a place where you are expecting “just another Sunday” at church? How should the truths of this passage affect your expectations and how will that affect your preparation for next weekend at church?
What are the biggest distractions you face on a weekly basis during the preaching of God’s Word? What can you do to minimize those?
How could you be more of an “active” listener during preaching?
Read James 1:22-25. As you consider your response to regular preaching, how could you be a more faithful “doer” rather than just a “hearer”?
