Read Isaiah 45:9-13. What are some of the ways you may be tempted to dispute or argue with God? Why is this of no advantage to you?
Read Proverbs 3:5-6. What are some areas of your life right now where you might be tempted to lean on your own understanding? What will it look like to trust God & His promises in those areas?
Read Ecclesiastes 7:1. What qualities make up a truly “good name” or “good reputation”? In what areas would you like to grow so that your name brings encouragement to others and glory to God?
Read Psalm 90:12. How will your life benefit from thinking more about death and how short your life will be? How should that affect your priorities?
Read Ecclesiastes 7:5 & Proverbs 27:6. What are some of the reasons we might avoid a wise rebuke or a wound from a friend? What benefit will you receive if you are more open to listening to counsel from others?
