Do People In Your Life Group Need Parenting Help? - New Class

If there are parents in your Life Group that would benefit from a parenting class, please pass along the information for the Faithful Parenting class that starts next Sunday.

Time: 10 am
Begins: March 15 (10-week class)
Location: Heritage Room
Teacher: Pastor Charlie Matz
Description: Parenting is difficult, but God’s Word provides sufficient means to parent with faithfulness and confidence. In this ten-week class, we will answer the following questions and more: What is the goal of parenting? How should we instruct and discipline our children? How should men and women think differently about fatherhood and motherhood? What are the unique challenges that are present during each stage of parenting? How should we navigate the complexities of technology and purity?

Easter Invite Blitz

Life Group Leaders - The Pastors would like to encourage your group to engage your local neighborhoods with Easter Invites on March 28! For this Easter Community Outreach blitz, Life Groups can pick a place and time on March 28 to get together as a Life Group and go out to drop off Easter Invite Cards. These will invite people to our Good Friday Services, Eggstravaganza, and Easter Services. A local neighborhood of one of your Life Group members is a great location. We recommend the afternoon to get together. 60 to 90 minutes is a good benchmark for time out-and-about going door-to-door (knocking is optional, leaving a card is the goal). Let's get the word out to our communities that "He Is Risen!" Easter Invite Cards will be available for pickup this Sunday.

Worship Night Reminder

Our next worship night will be Friday night, March 13th from 6:00-8:00. Please announce this to your LifeGroup this week and get excited, we will be singing throwbacks!

The Service Time Change Is Almost Here

March 15th begins our new service times! Please remind your Life Group the new service times will be 8:15, 10:00, and 11:45. Also, don’t forget to set your clocks ahead an hour this Sunday morning!

Sunday’s Sermon:

The Goal of a Gospel Servant, Pt. 2

Romans 1:13-15

  1. Read Philippians 1:21-24. What would it look like for you to live with this same mindset? How is “bearing fruit” a priority in your life?

  2. Do you tend to either avoid hard work or work hard in a foolish, self-reliant way? How could you better follow Paul’s example of hard work that clearly comes from a place of dependence on God?

  3. Read Colossians 1:3-6. How should growing in your understanding of the gospel continue to bear fruit in your life beyond the moment of conversation?

  4. Read 2 Kings 7:9. How should the logic of these lepers apply to us as we think about sharing the gospel with others? Who are some people you need to share the good news of the free gift of grace that is available in Christ?

  5. Read Romans 1:14. Are there people (or groups of people) that you might be tempted to
look down on as unlikely to believe or even unworthy of hearing the gospel? Why is such
thinking at odds with the reality of what Christ has done for us?
