“Build My Church” Volunteer Opportunity (Deacons Needed)
Deacons - this weekend we officially launch our "Build My Church" initiative and for 8 weeks we'll have an informational hub in the lobby that we need your help with. Please consider signing up to serve at this hub for 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after the selected service you sign up for. Each week you'll be joined by Chris Hernandez and a few of our Pastors who will be able to answer any questions while your job will mostly be to drum up excitement about what the Lord has already done, and what we believe He has planned for the future of this church. Acts 20:28
How have you seen God work through the local church to set people free from the penalty and power of sin? How does that excite you about being a part of what God is doing through the local church?
Read Acts 20:28 & 1 Corinthians 8:11-12. How should thinking of the church as those “for whom Christ died” elevate the importance of the local church in your mind? How can that help you faithfully love and serve others within the church even when it is imperfect?
Read Ephesians 5:25-27. How could your love for the local church grow in how it follows the example of Christ’s love for the church?
What attitude do you display about the local church to others (especially to your kids/grandkids, if applicable)? What impact can your attitude have on others?
Read Acts 20:24. As you think about goals you may have for your life, do any of them involve the local church? What are some godly, biblical ways you aspire to serve the church in your life?
