Discovery Way Move Timelines
We will be using next week to prepare the building for our first service on July 7th. Below is a timeline of the activity throughout next week.
Monday 7/1
Volunteers are welcome to be in the building after 9AM and in any Kids space thru the evening
Eddie Urquiza will be carpet cleaning the Auditorium. Only the Auditorium will be off limits all day but dry by Tuesday.
Working to gather a team to repair broken toilets in the late-morning, early afternoon. Handymen with plumbing experience are welcome to help (probably only need 6 guys to help here)
In the late afternoon the bookstore team will setup their location (where the current coffee bar is)
Any volunteers that are in the building can focus on removing decor, patching walls, throwing away trash, cleaning out trash cans, deep cleaning spaces etc.
Tuesday 7/2
Volunteers are welcome to be in the building after 10AM
Evening - Hernandez life group will meet to setup auditorium for church on Sunday
Kids Min - I'd love if we could get the two teaching spaces setup with whatever chairs, tables, blue panels etc. or at least an idea of what you want setup so that it can be done on Wednesday.
Tech team can get into auditorium to mount cameras or work on any other items anytime Tuesday through Saturday
Wednesday 7/3
Dumpster day - a crew of volunteers to discard unnecessary items and bulky trash pieces
Finish deep cleaning bathroom counters, vacuum kids spaces and setup kids rooms (except infant/toddler spaces)
Thursday 7/4
No work unless misc teams want to get into building (kids, connect, hospitality etc)
Friday 7/5
Eddie will be back on site for carpet cleaning in lobby, first kids min hallway and the infant/toddler rooms so the main entrance will be off limits. Any work being done on this day should enter from the back of the building by the office, or the side of the building in the courtyard (into the lower elementary room)
Saturday 7/6
Carpets will be dry by the morning. Kids min team will get in and finish setup of the infant toddler rooms. The rest of the building should be done by this point so minimal work would be needed.
Class on Physical Illness, Mental Illness, & Drugs
You're all invited to a Biblical Counseling re-teach of Physical Illness, Mental Illness, and Drugs at 11am this Sunday in the library. It was recorded improperly the first time so I (Pastor Charlie) wanted to re-teach it and invite all of you Deacons to attend the class if the subject interests you.
July Kids Program @ Discovery Way!
Our Summer Series Kids Program (and the Life Groups with them) will be meeting at the new building throughout the month of July, starting on Tuesday July 9/ Thursday July 11. We will have Life Group locations forthcoming - we are still finalizing those. Be sure that your Life Group members know the Tuesday and Thursday groups will be meeting at Discovery Way starting July!

Can you think of any ways you have seen the providence of God at work in your life lately that might be encouraging to someone else? Who will you share that with this week?
Read 2 Corinthians 1:3-7. This passage reminds us of the presence of suffering in the Christian life. Why is it encouraging to know that we can count on God’s comfort even when life doesn’t seem to be going smoothly?
