Free Randy Alcorn Books

In light of Tobin Bolter's tragic passing an individual in our church has donated several copies of Randy Alcorn's books Heaven and If God is Good: Faith in the Midst of Suffering and Evil. These books are free to anyone who would like them. They can be picked up at the Bookstore and Connect Table on Sunday. If you or anyone in your Life Group or ministry would like one of these books please stop by to grab some copies.

Next Steps at 6151 N Discovery Way

As we shared last week, we are in the process becoming the owners of the building at 6151 N Discovery Way, where The Pursuit Church currently meets. The Pursuit Church will hold their last official service in this building on Sunday, June 30th. We are prayerfully anticipating that some of their congregation will check out Compass during the transition that follows. Please be praying for those souls as they consider this possibility.

On June 23rd the pastors will be engaging with their congregation during a special service. At 10:00am pastor Charlie will deliver a message during their normal service time. Then the Connect Team will help serve a catered lunch while being present to answer questions about Compass. After that all of the pastors will host a condensed version “Exploring Compass” followed by a Q&A for all of those from The Pursuit who are interested.

Please be praying for the 23rd!

Pray for the Last Night of Ignite

APPLICATION QUESTIONS

  1. Read Deuteronomy 8:17-18. How can you take care to remember and celebrate ways that God has kept his promises to you?

  2. Read 1 Peter 1:17-19. What does this text specifically say that you were ransomed from? In what ways do you need to be careful to “conduct yourself in fear” this week?

  3. Read Isaiah 53:4-7. What stands out to you about this passage? What does this passage tell us about the magnitude of sin? What does this passage tell us about the work of Christ for us?

  4. Read Revelation 5:9-10. Why does this passage say that the lamb is worthy? How should that inspire greater worship from you this week?

  5. Read Romans 3:27. Many people have a hard time admitting they need a Savior. As Christians, how should this reality of knowing that there is nothing we can do to save ourselves impact our lives in an ongoing way?
