Adventure Club Replacing Awana - This Fall, we will be changing the curriculum for our Thursday night program from Awana to Adventure Club! This change allows us to continue to teach/memorize the Word of God to our kids each week while improving the curriculum and support materials simultaneously. Encourage Young Families to Serve - Often those with young families are hesitant to be at church for two services in order to serve in a ministry like Kids Min. Be sure to encourage them, reminding them that serving is both a command and a blessing and that God will provide for their young family! All of us who have trusted God in those seasons can speak firsthand to the blessings of "getting in the game" and not sitting out based on fear or over-thinking our capacity. Please continue to talk to anyone in your Life Groups or ministry/friend groups who aren’t currently serving (or have more capacity to serve) about considering Kids Ministry.
Get Your Guys to the Men’s Event - Next Saturday the men will be gathering for the 2nd part of our series titled “Humility.” As a reminder, this series is designed to lead us up to the Men’s Retreat titled “Victory” that we’ll be attending in late October. The more men that we can get to all of these events the more opportunities we’ll have to see God’s Word work mightily in the lives of Compass Men to see victory over the sins that are most common to men. Be sure to send the link for this event out to the men in your group!
