Life Group Leader Update
We have an important update regarding Keith and Phyllis Vermilyea this week. The Vermilyea's have stepped down from leading their Life Group this week after much prayer and consideration over the past Summer. Keith has been dealing with some health issues over the past few years, and the time has come to pass the baton to another couple to lead the group. Be sure to thank the Vermilyea's for their years of service if you see them this weekend. They have faithfully led this group for years, pouring themselves out for the saints they were called to lead. We are grateful for their faithful and tireless service!
The couple that is stepping into this role is Jon and Connie Stuhr. The Stuhr's have been in this Life Group for years, and they have been stepping in to lead from time to time, including this entire past Summer. We're excited for them to step into this role formally and lead this group forward. Praise God for His providential timing to put them in this group for such a time as this.

Sunday’s Sermon: The Servants the Church Needs
1 Timothy 3: 8-13
Why is character so important for those serving and leading in God’s church? How might you be tempted to focus on what you are doing to serve while ignoring your
character?Read 1 Timothy 3:8-12. Choose one characteristic on which to focus as you follow-up on this message. Why did you choose that one? What can you practically do to pursue growth in that area?
Read Romans 5:3-5. What are some ways you are currently experiencing suffering, and how is that testing your character? How can you lean into the sanctifying effects of these trials in your life right now?
Parents, what will it look like for you to maintain a proper focus on what is happening under your own roof while also being faithful in church and in the marketplace?
Read John 12:43 and Ecclesiastes 7:1. What is the difference between improperly seeking the glory that comes from man versus rightly desiring a “good name”? How can that impact how you go about serving the church?
