Women’s Ministry Updates - Here are a few updates for the Women’s Ministry this Fall through December. Please feel free to share them with the ladies in your Life Groups!
- The last session of our Spot the Lie series is Saturday, 10/22, from 9-11:30 at Meridian First Baptist Church. It will be a Q&A with our Pastors. Plan on joining us for this capstone of our series. Register here.
- On Monday, 10/24, we will start a six-week Fall Book Club. The books will be available for purchase at the Q&A event and will also be available at the church services that weekend. Register here.
- Friday, 12/9, 7-9pm we will be having our “Come Let Us Adore Him” women’s event. Held at The Pursuit Church (6151 N Discovery Pl, Boise, ID 83713), this event will feature worship, devotional teaching, and dessert fellowship.
Mark your calendars for these events, and we look forward to seeing you there!Boise Rescue Mission Opportunity - Deke Schultz, a member of the Rush’s Life Group, works at the Boise Rescue Mission. The Rush’s Life Group is doing a food drive for the Mission, as they have struggled this year with donations due to the downturned economy. If you would be interested in also doing a food drive for the Boise Rescue Mission, and if you want more information on the Mission itself, you can find that here.

Read 2 Corinthians 1:3-7. How have you experienced the comfort of God in your life? How should the comfort of God help to shape our perspectives on suffering and service?
Read 1 Thessalonians 4:9-10. What are some of the greatest challenges to loving people well over a long period of time and even seeing that love grow instead of decrease? How should our study of Philippians refresh your commitment to love others well?
Read Philippians 2:3. What are the ways you think you might be actively tempted to focus on your own selfish ambition or conceit? Why should these desires seem foolish in light of your riches in Christ?
Read Philippians 2:4. What are some ways you need to actively focus on the concerns of others this week? What kinds of specific actions should that lead you to?
