Ministry Fair - An Opportunity to Nudge?
Life Group leaders, the ministry fair that will be taking place after each service on Sunday might be a great opportunity to “nudge” some of those folks in your Life Group who are on the sidelines. Consider reaching out to those people tomorrow to let them know about the ministry fair, where they will be able to talk to representatives from several ministries to learn more about serving the church with their gifts!

Continue to encourage your ministries and Life Groups to attend the Boiler Room on Sundays at 7:40 in the library. Let’s make this the best year of prayer at CBCTV yet! We have so much to do this year that we must FIRST invest the time to pray for God’s protection, provision, and perseverance! Let’s seek His face together (Psalm 27) this year more than ever before.

APPLICATION QUESTIONS
Read 1 Peter 5:5-6. What might it look like for God to oppose you? What might it look like for God to give you grace? How will these thoughts motivate you to daily turn away from pride toward humility?
Read Luke 12:15. What will it look like for you “be on guard against all covetousness”? Why is covetousness ultimately futile?
As you think through the different aspects of your life (home, work, church, etc.), how can you strive to make sure your efforts in each of these areas are focused on God’s glory and the good of others instead of merely for your own glory?
Read Psalm 37:1. How might you be tempted to be worried because of evildoers or envious of wrongdoers? What from our text in Genesis will help you fight against these temptations?
Read Acts 4:24-30. How might you be encouraged by this prayer from the early church that highlights God accomplishing his purpose even through people who were opposed to him?
