Men’s Event Invite
Remind your Life Group men to register for our first Men's Breakfast of 2026 on Saturday, January 24! We’ll launch our new season of men’s ministry, with new theme and calendar of events and competitions for the 2026 Men’s Tournament Series!
Women’s Event Invite
Here is the description and registration to this upcoming event. Be sure to invite your Life Group ladies!
When someone becomes a Christian, what happens is not a minor change - it's a total transformation! She becomes a NEW CREATION. Throughout 2026, Compass Women will be exploring this theme by studying 2 Corinthians 4-5. The first event is Saturday, January 31, from 9-11:30am. We would love to have you join us as we seek to learn and live out what it means to be a new creation in Christ.
South Valley Cards of Encouragement Reminder
If you haven’t yet, please remind your Life Groups to write a note of encouragement for this Sunday per the message below!
January 11th will be a very special Sunday at Compass Treasure Valley. Not only will we be celebrating our 7th anniversary as a church with several baptisms, we will also be officially commissioning the team from Compass South Valley and sending them out from our congregation to prepare for their launch services on March 1st at Kuna High School. It will be an incredible opportunity to reflect on what God has done over the last seven years, as well as to step forward in faith into this new year by sending out a new church plant. One special way you can participate in this service is by bringing a note of encouragement for the Compass South Valley team, whether for the team as a whole or for specific members of the team. Let’s send them out with encouragement and faith as we anticipate what Jesus will do to build his church through this team.
Sunday’s Sermon:
A Gospel Good-Bye
1 Timothy 6:20-21
Read 1 Timothy 1:12-17. Clearly Paul gratitude for God’s grace to him was a powerful motivator in his ministry. How can God’s grace to you motivate you to engage in the process of making disciples?
Who are some people that you want to intentionally and prayerfully engage with the life-changing message of the gospel over the coming weeks and months?
In the context of a church with solid teaching, what will the differences be between someone externally conforming to a Christian sub-culture versus genuinely pursuing godliness from the inside out? How can you make sure you are doing the former and not the latter?
Read 2 Timothy 2:1. In what ways should the grace of God strengthen you for disciple-making ministry?
Spend extra time praying for the future ministries of Compass Treasure Valley AND Compass South Valley!
