Pray for the Women’s Event!

Please take some time to pray for the women’s event tomorrow morning. Continue to pray for Kristina Matz’s health so that she can share this important message with the women without distraction. Please pray for the women to have hearts ready to glean wisdom for parenting from the book of Proverbs!

Announce the Worship Night

Life Group leaders, please encourage your LifeGroup to attend our Worship Night Friday, November 14 from 6:30-8:30. This evening will simply be a time to gather together, sing, pray, and focus our attention on God. Families are welcome, but please note there will not be childcare. Dessert and Coffee will be served.

Sunday’s Sermon:

The Importance of Faithful Leaders

1 Timothy 5:17-25

1. Read Philippians 1:25 & Hebrews 13:17. In what ways will you benefit from faithful pastors? How should this affect your attitude and actions as you seek out and participate in a faithful local church?

2. Read 1 Timothy 5:17. What can you do to show honor to pastors who have faithfully taught you the word in such a way that encourages them to continue to do the hard work of teaching?

3. Read 1 Corinthians 5:6-8. How can a little bit of sin affect a whole church? While this is
   especially true for leaders, how can it also be true for you? How should that affect the
   seriousness with which you deal with sin?

4. Read 1 Timothy 5:24-25. “Time and truth go hand in hand.” Think about how this
   statement can be both challenging and comfort. How should this reality affect your
   behavior this week?

5. Spend some extra time praying for your pastors with the prayer requests below.
