Remind Your Life Group: One Week Until the Next Women’s Event!
Life Group Leader ladies, please remind your Life Group ladies to register for the next women’s event on Saturday, November 8 from 9:00-11:30am as we conclude our “Wisest of Women” series in the book of Proverbs! Throughout this book Solomon pleads with his son to get wisdom, and writes wise sayings that should shape our parenting. No matter the ages of your children, this teaching will instruct your life in wise living and encourage you in motherhood! Breakfast and coffee will be served.

Sunday’s Sermon: Caring for Widows
1 Timothy 5:3-16
Read Psalm 146:9. Take some time to consider this verse in the context of this whole Psalm. Why should the fact that God upholds the widow and the fatherless encourage you and grow you trust in the Lord?
Read James 1:27. What can you do to show special care for orphans, widows, or others who are truly in need?
Read 1 Timothy 5:4. What can be difficult about caring for an aging/widowed parent (or perhaps another family member that legitimately needs help), and how you can rightly work through those difficulties in order to please the Lord?
In what way can humbly serving others in their affliction prepare you for affliction of your own? How will this motivate you to actively show care for others?
Read 1 Timothy 5:13. What is some of the trouble that the sins in this verse can lead to? How can you work to avoid these errors?
