Important Info:

  • We Passed 1 Million - The Taking Ground project has officially passed $1,000,000 raised! We will share this news with the congregation today and tomorrow while also asking them to pray even more as we continue to trust the Lord for His provision. Here are the prayers we’ll be putting in front of the church:

    • Praise God for all of the ways he has already provided for CBCTV and Taking Ground.

    • Pray that God would open the right door at the right time for a full-time facility.

    • Pray that God would provide all of the funds to acquire land and/or a building.

    • Pray for favor with landowners, city officials, and any others who will be involved in this process.

    • Pray for wisdom for leaders in this church as they make decisions regarding future facilities.

    • Pray that God would continue to provide space for ministry until a full-time facility is acquired.

    • Pray that we would focus more on the goal of making disciples than the means of a facility.

    • Pray that God would use this facility to reach more people in the community with the gospel.

    • Pray for a facility that is optimally designed to be used for fellowship and teaching that will help people grow in Christlikeness.

    • Pray that God would use this facility as a launchpad for other church plants.

  3. Read Matthew 5:3. How can spiritual arrogance creep into your heart and mind? How can you direct your heart back to this position of being “poor in Spirit”?

  4. Read Hebrews 12:28-29. How might your reverence and awe for God be tempted to fade as you go about your Christian life? What from both Ecclesiastes 5 and Hebrews 12 can help you renew those attitudes in your walk with God?

  5. Read Psalm 130:3-4. How does a right reverence for God actually lead to a greater appreciation for his grace? Choose one verse that emphasizes the grace of God to meditate on this week.
