Pray for Winter Weekend
Over 180 students and leaders are leaving today for our youth winter weekend retreat happening at Living Waters Retreat Center in Challis, ID. Be in prayer for safe travels, hearts to be softened, souls to be saved, and relationships to be formed.
A Successful Trip to Uganda!
Pastors Ben and Charlie are scheduled to land in Boise at 10:51pm tonight! Praise God for a successful trip! Thank you for your prayers. God did great things during the week as Pastor Ben taught 30 men the book of Genesis at Shepherd’s Training College and preached to Community Bible Church of Kubamitwe in their new building. Deuteronomy 6:1-14
What would it look like this week to love God with all your heart, soul, and might? What currently competes for your deepest love and affection? How can you tell?
Do spiritual conversations in your home feel natural or forced? Why? What is one current “sit, walk, lie down, or rise up” situation in your life where you could connect the dots between daily routine and Scripture?
Read Psalm 78:1-8. What specific story of God’s faithfulness in your life could you share with your family or friends this week? How does that story encourage you to set your hope on God? (vs. 7)
Who is currently imitating your life? Could you confidently say, “Imitate me as I imitate Christ” (1 Corinthians 11:1)? What part of your life would you hesitate for others to copy? Where might others be deeply blessed by following your example?
Read 2 Corinthians 3:1-3. What does it mean that believers are “letters from Christ”? How is the Spirit involved in writing God’s truth on hearts? How does this relate to your task of impressing God’s word onto your children?
