Invite to the Women’s Event

Invite your Life Group ladies to the next event on Saturday, February 28th from 9-11:30am for session two in the “New Creations” series! When someone becomes a new creation in Christ it transforms their perspective, especially regarding suffering. Come and see how God’s Word gives us a radically new perspective on the value of suffering from 2 Corinthians 4:7-18. The morning will include breakfast, fellowship, worship, teaching, and discussion time! Please remind your LifeGroup Ladies to register.

Sending New People the “Getting the Most out of Life Groups” Videos

Life Group leaders, now that we have the “Getting the Most out of Life Groups” videos on the Life Groups webpage, be sure to send all new people to your group the link to watch the four-part series. As part of your “onboarding process,” please send new people these videos so that they can have clear expectations regarding their involvement in the group. This might be the best way to introduce new people to these videos so that they can follow up with you, their new Life Group leader, if they have any questions after watching. Thanks, and please let me (Charlie) know if you have any questions about sending out these videos!

Sunday’s Sermon:

The Passion of a Gospel Servant

Romans 1:8-10

  1. Read Romans 1:9. Why will true worship of God motivate a passion for the gospel and a love for others? How can worship of God be a greater motivator for you to care about the spiritual well-being of others?

  2. Read 1 Thessalonians 3:8. One of Paul’s greatest joys in life was to see other people thriving in their walk with Christ. What would it look like for you to think this same way?

  3. Read Colossians 1:3-5. Why is it appropriate for gratitude to be prominent in your feelings toward other believers?

  4. Evaluate your patterns of prayer for other people. Are you consistently praying for other believers—including some that you do not even personally know? How can you grow in your consistency here?

  5. Read 1 Thessalonians 3:11-13 & Colossians 1:9-12. What can you learn from the content of Paul’s prayers? How can this inform your own requests for others?
