Taking Ground Update

Praise the Lord! We are officially in contract to purchase 17 acres of land on the north side of Ustick Rd, just east of Can Ada Rd on the East side of the Phyllis Canal (this is the same property that we almost went into contract on this time last year).

Now that we are in escrow, there is more work to do in due diligence as we seek to close on this propery. In order to close escrow we need a Conditional Use Permit (CUP). So here is how you can be praying during the next several months as we aim to get our CUP approved:

  1. Favor for our application for a lot split to establish our 17 acre parcel.

  2. Wisdom and creativity as we develop a master site plan that includes where we place our building, and how we intend to deal with wastewater through a septic system.

  3. Pray for our outside consultants (engineers, architects, etc) that the Lord would use them and their expertise to guide us to the right development plan to meet county and city requirements.

We will be announcing this to the church this Sunday!

Pray For Resurrection Week

Be praying that the Lord will use Resurrection Week Live (8pm Sunday-Thursday nights on compassbible.tv), our Good Friday service (6:30pm at Heritage Friday), Eggstravaganza (11am-1pm on Saturday at Heritage), and our Easter Services (8am, 9:45am, and 11:30am on Sunday at Heritage). May God be glorified, saints sanctified, and sinners saved through all that is happening.

Application Questions:

God’s Great Promises
The Promise of Being Like Jesus
Romans 8:28-30

APPLICATION QUESTIONS

  1. Read Romans 8:28-30. What aspect of this passage was most encouraging to you in response to this sermon?

  2. Read Philippians 3:12-16. Verse 15 calls the mature to “think this way.” How can you think more like Paul’s example in this passage?

  3. What are you most tempted to desire more than being like Christ? Why are these things not as worthy or valuable as Christlikeness?

  4. Read James 1:2-4. How should this passage and Romans 8:28-30 change your perspective about trials that you are currently facing?

  5. Spend time praying for God to work through all the events of Resurrection Week 2024!
