Encourage Your Life Group To Serve at Easter

Please encourage your Life Groups to serve somewhere this Resurrection Weekend - it truly is an ‘all-hands on deck’ weekend for our church.

Easter Weekend 2024 is March 29th-31st, and we will need help with everything from our Good Friday service, to Eggstravaganza on Saturday, to our three Easter Sunday services. For Good Friday we will have limited kids ministry and need volunteers for infants -2nd grade. For Eggstravaganza, we would love all hands on deck from help with set-up to face-painting to monitoring inflatables, etc. During Easter services we will need volunteers to be bringing groups of students to worship time and to the Bible Time Marketplace with live actors. To sign up to serve go to https://www.compassbible.tv/kids-ministry.

Extra Prep Work For Life Group Discussion This Week

As you can see in some of the Application Questions this week, there is a little more prep work necessary. Please be sure to go through it yourself and encourage your Life Group to spend the time doing the same in preparation for the group discussions!

Application Questions:

Such A Great Salvation
Ephesians 1:3-14

APPLICATION QUESTIONS

  1. Read Ephesians 1:3-14. Work through the passage and make a list of all of the things believers receive from God in Christ. From the list, choose 2-3 things to meditate on/study more over the next couple of weeks. Share with your group what you chose, why, and how you plan to further meditate on/study those things.

  2. Read Ephesians 1:3-6. How can you grow in worshipfully treasuring all that God offers you in Christ? What things hinder your worship and thankfulness to God for your salvation?

  3. Read Ephesians 1:7-10. Grace is far more robust and meaningful than simply "giving us something that we don't deserve." As a group, discuss the many ways the Bible speaks to and about God's grace. What role should grace play in the day-to-day living of followers of Christ?

  4. Read Ephesians 1:7-10. How should affirming God's glory as the purpose of salvation increase our view of God and our worship of God?

  5. Read Ephesians 1:4-5, 11. What do these verses reveal about the nature of salvation?
