Reminder! Cody and Kate Send Off Tomorrow
The Davidson’s appreciation and send off is tomorrow! We want to spend some time appreciating and praying for Cody and Kate Davidson as they prepare for their move to Florida. Please join us tomorrow, Saturday August 9. Stop by any time from 6-8pm in the Heritage Room near the church offices so that you can share your appreciation for Cody and Kate and the many ways they’ve blessed you through their time serving at Compass Bible Church Treasure Valley! The Pastors will be praying for the Davidson’s at 7pm. Let’s celebrate what God has done (and will continue to do) through these two faithful servants!
Sunday’s Sermon: Fuel for Faithfulness
Psalm 78:1-8
In what ways do we tend to forget God—not just in our thoughts, but in how we speak and act? What works of God in your life do you tend to overlook or downplay? How might your life look different if you intentionally remembered those?
How have you experienced the "fatality" or consequences of spiritual forgetfulness in your own life, or in someone else's? What did you forget about God in that season, and how has that influenced or changed the way you live today?
What false hopes are you tempted to “set your heart” on instead of God? What would it look like to actively reset your hope on Him this week?
How can you more intentionally “broadcast” God’s works to the people He has placed in your life? What habits, rhythms, or disciplines could help you grow in remembering and retelling what God has done?
What specific command of God are you struggling to obey right now? How could remembering who God is and what He’s done help you obey Him in that area this week?
