2023/2024 Adventure Club Schedules
Life Group Games Details
Our third annual Life Group Games are coming up, one week from Sunday! Chris and Kelly Hernandez, newborn in-tow, will be leading their group’s defense of their title. The games will begin at 6pm and will only go for an hour - no trying to find fake birds in the dark! - and they have been set up so that ALL ages can compete! Please encourage your Life Group to join us for the fellowship of the picnic (starts at 5pm) and the joyful, friendly competition of the Life Group Games. See you at Kleiner Park, Shelter B-1 (same as last year, across from the Meridian Senior Center) for the Picnic and Life Group Games!

As we wrap up Genesis 1, we’ve repeatedly seen the emphasis of the text on the fact that we are created beings and the implication that God alone is worthy of our worship, trust, and obedience. What will you take away from this chapter as the most significant way these truths should affect your daily life?
Why is it important for us to connect the dots from a biblical concept like the image of God to cultural issues in our own day? When issues like race or gender come up, how can the image of God navigate these topics in a biblical way in the future?
Read Colossians 3:9-10. How do these verses inspire you to greater holiness and a greater knowledge of God? What steps can you take this week to pursue these things?
Read Psalm 127:3-5. How does the thought of these verses go against the grain of our culture? How might some of those non-biblical, cultural ideas creep into your own thinking?
Read 1 Timothy 6:17-19. As people who live in an affluent society, how can you avoid the errors of trusting in or idolizing material wealth on one hand while not neglecting to enjoy with gratitude God’s creation and material blessings on the other?
