Stephen Duwe Open House - Tonight!
Our time with Stephen Duwe went well this past weekend! He will be returning next weekend with his family. The Blakeys will be hosting an open house for any deacons interested in meeting Stephen and Veronica tonight (September 20) from 5:30-8:30pm. A light dinner, snacks, and desserts will be provided. Please feel free to swing by anytime in that window. There address is 5771 W Mattawa Dr Meridian, ID 83646. If possible, please make childcare arrangements, so the evening can be as focused as possible. Stephen will also be preaching in the main service that Sunday. Please continue to pray for God’s direction in this.
Men’s Retreat Signups
Encourage the men in your life groups to sign up for and attend the Men’s Retreat. We are about one month out from it and we want every man in our church who can go to go. So let them know the blessing it has been in previous year’s and encourage those who are on the fence (and those who are procrastinating) to sign up here

APPLICATION QUESTIONS
Read Hebrews 3:12-14. Hebrews chapters 3 and 4 are written to exhort Christians to persevere in their faith in Christ. How does considering Christ as our Great High Priest encourage you to “hold fast our confession” (Heb. 4:14)? What emphasis do you place on persevering in Christ as a believer? Is this a work you do or God does?
Thinking upon Christ’s compassion toward saved sinners, what aspect of his compassion do you need to realize applies to yourself? What of Christ’s compassion do you need to exhibit toward someone else today or this week?
Read Hebrews 4:16 and 10:19-22. What is the connection between Jesus’ death and our ability to pray directly to God? How is your “prayer life”? If God summons you to come to His Throne of Grace and speak freely, what should you do to capitalize daily on such an offer?
Read 1 Peter 2:9. As a priest of Christ yourself, what is your role as intermediary between God and man? Whose salvation are you boldly praying for and seeking opportunity to speak Christ with?
