Pray for the Parades!

As our team gets in place at the Meridian Lights Paraade and prepares to worship along the parade route, serve the community with hot chocolate, invite people to church, and share the gospel please pray for them! There’s a chance of rain still tonight so please pray for the Lord to keep them dry and give them opportunities to engage in faithful ministry work!

Also pray for the same group as they seek to engage with the community at the Kuna Night Light Parade tomorrow night!

Deacon Retreat 2026

Please mark your calendars for our annual Deacon Retreat happening on Friday, January 16th-Saturday, January 17th. Similar to previous years, we will kick off the weekend with dinner at the church building starting at 6pm on Friday with a formal end time of 9pm (but feel free to stay and fellowship as long as you’d like). We will gather back up on Saturday at 8am for breakfast and training by the Pastors. We look forward to this time where we get to check in and train the deacons of the church.

Roots of False Teaching: Greed

1 Timothy 6:2b-10

1. Read Philippians 3:8. What in your life should show that you truly believe that Christ is more valuable (of “surpassing worth”) than anything else in this world?

2. Read 1 Timothy 6:8. In what ways might you be tempted to overlook the basic things that God has provided for you and focus more on things that are desires as opposed to needs? What are some of the ways God has provided for you for which you need to be more thankful this week?

3. Read Psalm 23:1 & Hebrews 13:5-6. How should the presence of God as your
   shepherd help you to put off the love of money and put on contentment?

4. Read 1 Timothy 6:9-10. What are some of the pains and senseless and harmful desires that the love of many can lead to in this life? In what ways might you be tempted into these things and how can you fight against them?

5. Read Luke 18:24. Why is it hard for a rich person to go to heaven? In what ways do you realistically guard yourself from wealth choking out your faith?
